A Visionary Man

Wilfrid Laurier is considered to be the father of modern Canada. The title is not his without reason. He worked on huge projects that marked the course of Canada’s history.

Laurier’s heritage is all the more commendable, since he was confronted with some of the great issues that even today are central to political debate in Canada: communications; the unequal relationship between the Anglophone majority and the Francophone minority; the protection of Canadian territory and the importance of integration and unity.
